The Queen Creek Branch Library is hosting a FREE Publishing and Book Marketing seminar on Saturday, June 25, 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Hear other writers’ stories of their journeys to publication.

Learn how to find publications for your articles, poems, essays, and short stories. Receive detailed instructions on how to  submit to magazines, newspapers, and blogs.

If you have a book completed or hope to complete one in the future, you’ll learn how to find a literary agent. Gain expertise in writing query letters, synopses, and other marketing pieces that agents and editors will request in book proposals. You’ll discover the avenues and shortcuts to traditional publishing.

The steps to self-publishing–editing, proofreading, cover design, formatting for e-book and print books, uploading to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and all other on-line book retailers–will be included as well.

The workshop will be taught by Ann Lee Miller, author of five novels, many magazine, newspaper, and blog articles. Over 100,000 copies of her books have been downloaded from Amazon. Ann earned a BA in creative writing and is working on a Master’s in Fine Arts in creative writing. More about Ann.

You will take home loads of cool, mostly free, ways to promote your writing.
